SJ Elite Force/U14G - 2009 New Jersey Cup Champions
Congratulations to the SJE Force who won the 2009 New Jersey Cup, U14 Girls Premier Division. The Force didn't surrender a goal while playing four games on the road, including a tense quarterfinal game at Union that went into Extra Time. The dramatic Golden Goal allowed them to advance. The semi final game was a tight 0-0 at the half, then the Force put their offense in full gear, ending with a 4-0 win over Parsippany. In the Finals the Force dominated a Cherry Hill squad from the very beginning.8vs8 TEAMS LOOKING FOR PLAYERS!
Boys and Girls U8, U9 & U10 teams are still looking to add players to form teams for the 2009-2010 season. At these ages, It is very important to develop proper form and technique to avoid picking up any bad habits. Our staff will focus on teaching the kids individual skills encouraging players to become more comfortable and confident with the ball at their feet. Our training program for these age groups will be structured but will allow for the kids to develop their own creativity when attacking 1v1 and also to simplify the game so that they may comprehend small tactical components of the game that will enhance their development as they get older. It's important to us that the kids have fun while they are learning the game especially at this young age. There is a common misconception that our academy is too expensive. Most township travel programs cost $300-$600 per year which usually consist of a parent volunteer coach with very little experience at playing and coaching the game. At SJ Elite, we provide all our teams with highly qualified coaches who are very knowledgeable of the game and have high level playing experience and are excellent teachers of the game. Our academy is very reasonably priced especially for the level of instruction that the kids will receive.

The Dave Logar Run, Sunday, May 17th
A word about Dave Logar: Dave Logar was a brother and uncle to members of our South Jersey Elite family as well as a good friend and teammate to others. David was struck by a car while landscaping and was a quadriplegic for awhile. He eventually recovered enough to gain mobility via a wheelchair and shortly thereafter began taking classes again and speaking to groups of school-age kids about overcoming obstacles. He died of complications following the accident a couple of years later. Lenape HS has sponsored a memorial run and a scholarship for the last 10 years. This year it is a bigger event and it is at Cooper River Park. The 11th Annual Dave Logar Memorial Run pays tribute to Dave’s amazing spirit and how he inspired others after suffering an accident that left him paralyzed. This year’s event will take place Sunday, May17th, 2009 at Cooper River Park. A portion of the proceeds will go to a charity which provides aid to people with paralysis and neurological disorders as well as a scholarship fund that awards scholarships to students who possess the same qualities that made Dave such a special person. Dave epitomized the same qualities of perseverance, hard work, and optimism that we strive to pass on to our players here at SJ Elite. Please join us for what promises to be a fun day that celebrates the life of an amazing young man.

Our teams will participate in age appropriate tournaments. Our club will seek to provide U15-U18 teams with the opportunity to attend tournaments that will provide the highest level of competition and exposure to college coaches.
Common Misconceptions About SJ Elite:
It’s Too Expensive.
In comparison to other programs with paid coaches in the state, SJ Elite is comparable in cost. Compared with other clubs in the country with similar programs, SJ Elite is cheaper. At year’s end, SJ Elite is far cheaper per hour than any individual lesson money can buy.
They Don’t Let You Play other Sports.
This is simply not true. Many of our kids excel in multiple sports.
They Travel Too Much.
Our teams will play in local leagues and tournaments. At the older ages our teams travel based on the ability level and the competition available.
They Practice More.
Teams will practice 2 times per week depending on age level.
